This compact lid is easy to install, pins on to existing lid ring, works with multiple lid configurations and keeps employees safely on the ground. The automated lid installs easily over existing manhole openings. A pneumatic controller allows opening and closing from an eye level push button on the trailer chassis or from an optional radio remote.
Aluminum and stainless steel construction eliminate corrosion and installation on existing camlock ears eliminates any welding requirements. The unit weighs 45 pounds (20 kgs) and fits manhole openings from 19-5/8” to 20” (508mm) diameters. The polyurethane gasket can operate in a temperature range from -50 to 200-degrees Fahrenheit (-45 – 93 Celsius) and outlasts rubber gaskets. The opening and closing mechanism requires air pressure of 80 psi (5.3 bar). A protection valve is included. The manhole cover is rated for trailer pressure of 15 psi (1 bar) and is tested to 50 psi (3.3 bar).
